How Music-Ready works
The same loop runs for every student and every instrument. A student with a piano teacher and a guitar teacher runs two loops, and each teacher sees only their own.
- 1
Teach
In the lesson, the teacher notes what was covered and records a demonstration if it helps.
- 2
Assign
The teacher sets the week's work: pieces, scales, tempo, bars, and how long to spend.
- 3
Practise
The student presses Start Practice and works through the plan, item by item.
- 4
Record
When homework needs it, the student records or uploads a video or audio clip.
- 5
Submit
The recording goes privately to that teacher. Parents can see it too.
- 6
Feedback
The teacher replies with notes tied to moments in the recording, like 0:37, slow section.
- 7
Improve
The student retries the parts flagged, with the teacher's example to hand.
- 8
Achieve
Progress, exam milestones and practice streaks build up in the student's own profile.
Practice that is tracked, not "verified"
A Tracked Practice Session is one run in the Practice Room, timed while the page is open and active. A Manual Practice Entry is time a student logs themselves. We show the two differently and never call either one verified, because a timer can't prove what was played.
XP, levels and badges
Students earn XP for practice, homework and teacher awards. Levels such as Apprentice or Performer are Music-Ready milestones only. They are not music qualifications or exam grades.
